Terms of Service

Draftball is a fantasy football platform that lets you create and participate in private fantasy leagues based on Premier League football. The Service provides league hosting, live drafting, roster and lineup management, head-to-head category scoring, standings, and related features.

Matchfit Games does not offer, hold, award, or distribute prizes of any kind. Any fees you pay to us are for access to the Service — that is, for hosting and operating your league. They are not entry fees, wagers, buy-ins, or contributions to any prize pool, and we do not maintain any prize pool.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all laws applicable to you.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, and that parent or legal guardian agrees to be bound by these Terms and to be responsible for your use of the Service — including any fees or charges incurred through your account.

By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and that you are not barred from using the Service under applicable law.

You must create an account to use the Service. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information and keep it current
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
• Notify us promptly at support@draftball.app of any unauthorized use

You may not share your account, create an account on behalf of someone else without authorization, or maintain multiple accounts to gain an advantage within a league.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Some features of the Service require a paid subscription. Where fees apply:

• Pricing and billing terms are presented to you before you incur a charge. By completing the applicable checkout flow, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge your designated payment method.
• Subscriptions are per team, per league. Each team you create or join is its own subscription. If you take part in more than one league, each team is billed separately, and cancelling one does not affect the others.
• Your first gameweek is free. A valid payment method is required to start, but no charge is made until the end of your first scored gameweek. If you cancel before then, you are not charged.
• All fees are stated in British pounds (GBP) and are inclusive of any applicable VAT or sales tax. The price shown is the total amount you pay; nothing is added at checkout.
• Subscriptions renew automatically — monthly plans each month, season plans each year — until cancelled. We will charge your payment method on file for each renewal at the then-current price for your plan.
• Monthly billing pauses between seasons. We do not charge monthly subscribers during the Premier League off-season. Billing resumes automatically when the new season’s first scored gameweek begins.
• You may cancel at any time through your account’s billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period; you keep access until then, and we do not pro-rate or refund the remainder of a period.
• If a subscription lapses — through cancellation or a failed payment — your team, its squad and its results are retained, and your league continues without disruption. Access to paid features ends.
• We may change our pricing at any time. Changes will not apply retroactively to fees already paid, and we will give you notice before a change affects a renewal.

Refunds

Except where required by law or expressly stated at the time of purchase, fees are non-refundable. We may issue refunds or credits at our sole discretion.

Failed and disputed payments

If a payment fails or is reversed, we may suspend or restrict access to the affected league or account until the balance is resolved. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact support@draftball.app before initiating a chargeback so we can attempt to resolve it directly.

You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Service, including club names, crests, and any text you post (“Your Content”).

By submitting Your Content, you grant Matchfit Games a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute it solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. This license ends when you delete Your Content, except to the extent it has been shared with other users or retained in backups.

You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit Your Content and that it does not infringe the rights of others.

We may remove content that violates these Terms, but we have no obligation to monitor or review user content.

You agree not to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of others
• Upload content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, defamatory, obscene, or that depicts or promotes harm
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
• Manipulate league outcomes through collusion, multiple accounts, or exploitation of bugs
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users’ accounts, or our systems
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service except as expressly permitted
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission

Player statistics, fixture schedules, match results, and related data are supplied by third-party data providers. We do not control this data and do not warrant its accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or availability.

You acknowledge that:

• Statistics may be incorrect, delayed, revised, or unavailable
• Scoring, standings, and results depend on this third-party data and may change if the underlying data is corrected
• Fixtures may be postponed, rescheduled, or abandoned, which may affect gameplay
• We may recalculate results to correct errors, and such recalculations are final

Matchfit Games is not liable for any loss or dispute arising from data errors, delays, corrections, or outages.

Draftball is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Premier League, any football club, or any player.

We aim to keep the Service available and functioning, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, third-party outages, or circumstances beyond our control — including during time-sensitive events such as live drafts or matchday scoring.

We may modify, suspend, add to, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. Where a change materially affects paid features, we will provide reasonable notice.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by contacting support@draftball.app.

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, if required by law, or if continued provision of the Service to you poses a risk to us or other users.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 5, 7, 10, 11, 12, and 13 — will survive.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Matchfit Games disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.

We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any data, results, or scoring will be accurate or reliable.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MATCHFIT GAMES AND ITS OFFICERS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the Service, regardless of the theory of liability and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Matchfit Games and its officers, members, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses — including reasonable attorneys’ fees — arising out of or related to your use of the Service, Your Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, United States, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and provide notice through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.

• Entire agreement. These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Matchfit Games regarding the Service.
• No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
• Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them freely.
• No third-party beneficiaries. These Terms do not create rights for anyone other than you and Matchfit Games.
