Everything you love about FPL.
With a twist.
Draftball brings category scoring — hugely popular in fantasy baseball, basketball and hockey — to fantasy Premier League. Each match becomes a tactical duel to beat your opponent across the categories.
Live snake draft — no budgets, no overlap
The order of picks reverses each round — pick first in round 1 and you pick last in round 2, first again in round 3, and so on. The commissioner sets the snake order.
Fifteen rounds. Once a player is drafted he's off the board — no player overlap, no template teams.
Without price tags or PL squad limits, it's pure draft strategy — read the room and grab your guy.
Most leagues draft before the season kicks off; others wait for the transfer window to close. Start any time — PL fixtures map to the remaining gameweeks.
Lineups and formations
Before each match week you name a starting eleven and rank your bench. If a starter doesn't play, Draftball subs him out for you.
Pick a formation to fit your tactics and your opponent — five at the back to chase clean sheets, or a front three to stack up goals.
Valid formations: 3-4-3, 3-5-2, 4-3-3, 4-4-2, 4-5-1, 5-3-2, 5-4-1.
Starters who don't play get replaced from your bench, by priority — and your formation reshapes to accommodate.
Never field a player who didn't play
Any starter who logs zero minutes is automatically replaced by your highest-priority bench sub — provided the swap still leaves a legal formation. Draftball reshapes the XI so no minutes go to waste.
Foden didn't feature, so Watkins came off the bench — shifting the shape to a valid 4-3-3.
Seven categories up for grabs
Each gameweek is scored across seven statistical categories, and each can be won, lost, or drawn. Win more categories to win the match. Goals count double, for eight category wins on the table.
Goals
COUNTS 2×Goals scored minus own goals — every position contributes. Most total goals wins, and this category is weighted double.
Assists
A pass that leads directly to a goal. Most total assists wins.
Tackles + Int
Successful tackles plus interceptions — defensive work, usually from defenders and holding mids. Most T+I wins.
Net Passes
Passes completed minus incomplete — rewards accuracy and volume together. Most net passes wins.
Discipline
Cards cost you — win this category by getting closest to 0. Yellow is −2, red −5, and a second yellow counts as a red.
Clean Sheets
Awarded only to GKs and DEFs who play at least 60 minutes without their PL club conceding — even if they leave the pitch after.
Save %
Your keeper's saves as a share of shots faced. A clean sheet counts as 100%. Highest save % wins.

Work the wire between match weeks
Every claim runs through the waiver priority order. Win a claim and you drop to the back of the queue.
Priority starts as the inverse of the standings — the lowest-ranked team claims first, so the strugglers get first crack at the wire.
Claims clear 24 hours before the match week starts.
Once waivers clear, any unclaimed player is first come, first served.
Released players — and players who transfer into the PL — immediately go on waivers.
